New 2015 Toyota Corolla is updated with features and redesigned with new exterior and interior peculiarities, thus remaining competitive and affordable car solution.
Interior is just good for such class of sedan, providing pleasing and comfy feel when you get inside. One of the most important and essential enhancements in this car are sound and infotainment systems. USB, Bluetooth and Entune sound system support provides higher user satisfactory experience and just lets you enjoy your ride with a set of up-to-date capabilities. The materials that are used for headlining are amazing. There is fair space for legs both for the passengers in the front and rear seats. Headroom is a bit shortened, though. As for the exterior, it’s an eye-catching vehicle wit folded edges and 15-inch steel wheels included as standard (upgradeable up to 17-inch) on entry models. Trunk capacity is a bit bigger comparing to its forerunner with trunk opening bigger, too. LED headlights and daytime running lights supplement the design of Corolla, making it look even more attractive. In total, car looks sportier and is more spacious inside.
2015 Toyota Corolla is available in S, L, LE and LE Eco trim levels. The first three models are equipped with 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that provides 132 horsepower and 128 lb.-ft. of torque. LE Eco’s engine is the same, but has innovative Valvematic system with improved valve timing, which increases fuel efficiency and provides higher 140 horsepower output. Corolla uses continuously variable transmission (CVT) in most of the models (except for L), which makes you feel more confident during acceleration without any additional noise. S model is the right choice for people who like driving a lot – it’s kind of a sporty model.
The fuel economy specs are as follows. L model has 28/37 mpg (city/highway) when used with six-speed manual. When it is used with four-speed auto transmission, it reaches 27/36 mpg. LE and S models have almost the same efficiency as L version, reaching 29/37-38 when used either with CVT automatic or with six-speed manual transmission. The most efficient, of course, is the Eco model, but you will feel this advantage only on the highway: 30/42 (CVT automatic).
In addition, LE, S and LE Eco Premium models feature Driver Convenience Package with sunroof, Smart Key entry, application suite and other options, which is the same as last year’s Corolla had.
2015 Toyota Corolla MSRP starts from $16,950 (for L model).
