New 2015 Subaru Outback can surely be named as solid capable wagon for family with all the available space and safety features it includes.
This crossover can be ordered in four trim levels: 3.6R Limited, 2.5i Limited, 2.5i Premium and 2.5i.
This version of Outback received complete redesign. Being based on Legacy model, it still has certain peculiarities like hood curvature and upright radiator grille with active shutters that clearly differentiate it in appearance from one, Outback doesn’t have the same sheetmetal, as well as lots of other details. Aerodynamics was also improved, which slightly influences fuel economy. On the roof it has convertible roof rails. In total, it has more elegant look due to moved-back mirror, straight front end and better molded body panel sides. Inside it features pitched high-quality audio system in the center. It doesn’t include three rows of seating as most cars of this size do – instead it provides comfortable place for up to five persons.
Four-cylinder 2.5 liter engine comes as standard on 2.5 models, and generates 175 horsepower. 3.6R Limited is based on six-cylinder 3.6 liter engine reaching 256 hp. Both engines are mated with CVT. Mileage of 25/33 mpg for 2.5i and 20/27 mpg for 3.6R are not very impressive specs, but just about right for this type of car.
Price is not very high – 2015 Subaru Outback MSRP starts at $24,895.
