New 2015 Audi A6 may seem just a moderate and handsome car, but it also provides amazing performance thanks to its engine options.
This middle-sized luxurious sedan can be bought in six trim levels: performance-oriented TDI Prestige and TDI Premium Plus, 2.0T and 3.0T Premium Plus, 3.0T Prestige and finally 2.0T Premium. Each number shows the engine used. There is also S6 variant, as usual, that has the best performance specs.
2015 Audi A6 got a noble facelift this year, although its design is quite conventional. Interior is something worth to talk about separately. A6 is slightly smaller inside comparing to other vehicles with such proportions and of the same type. The comfy seats will let you, as a driver, and your passengers that travel with you feel amazed and relaxed than ever before. Legroom is somewhat narrow in the rear seats, though. Luggage space is also not very large even comparing to other luxurious sedans.
A6 2.0T models are driven by turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 2 liters of volume. It provides 220 horsepower, and can be configured with front- (with CVT transmission) or all-wheel quattro drive (AWD) (with traditional eight-speed auto). 0 to 60 acceleration is achieved in 7.4 seconds for CVT and 6.6 seconds for automatic transmission. Fuel efficiency is as high as 25/33 (city/highway) mpg when CVT is used, and 20/29 mpg when eight-speed transmission is used.
3.0T models use supercharged 3 liter 6 engine providing 310 horsepower. It is configured with automatic transmission (eight-speed) and AWD. Acceleration to 60 is obtained in merely 5.2 seconds, which is amazing for other competitive cars. Mileage is 18/27 mpg.
TDI models use turbodiesel 3 liter V6 engine with 240 horsepower. It is coupled with eight-speed auto transmission. It accelerates in 5.6 seconds, and has 24/38 mileage, which is undoubtedly prominent.
Price is high enough, but it’s affordable for such a car – 2015 Audi A6 MSRP starts from $46,200.
